Unlike most bottles, the 9-ounce Playtex VentAire can be opened from either the top or the bottom of the bottle. The top of the bottle has a twist-on ring and nipple, like most other conventional bottles, along with a plastic cap to protect the nipple and keep it clean when not in use. Each of the angled bottles in this three-pack is also equipped with an air vent on the bottom that's designed to keep the liquid moving toward the nipple when it is being sucked on, while at the same time preventing liquid from spilling out when the bottle is turned right side up. The system works well and has the advantage of allowing you to clean the bottle more thoroughly between uses.
