Editorial Reviews:
Synopsis
"On a quiet moonlit beach, a baby green sea turtle stirs from a dream of home. Slowly, slowly with a tap, crick, crack, the baby turtle embarks upon a mysterious nighttime journey. Gentle tender verse and enchanting illustrations carry this tranquil tale from sand to sea. Stephanie's first book, (now an international, double-medalist, bestseller) I'll Follow the Moon--comforts children with its soothing tone and melodic repetition. A portion of the proceeds go to turtle organizations to help these wonderful creatures survive, and perhaps get them off the Endangered Species list. Every purchase helps to save a sea turtle!"

"Save green sea turtles" is a new community page where we humans have a chance to embrace our responsibility in removing green sea turtles from the endangered species list. We need to return green sea turtles to their rightful position in our world as 100 million year old creatures that have occupied peaceful space here, long, long before people came along. Before we came along and decided turtles 'tasted good', or their shells made 'pretty jewelry'. Before the turtles habitats became property of big industry fishing nets. Before the ocean was used as a big people-trash can. Before we altered planet weather with our fossil fuels, turning the sea into warm soup. Perhaps sea turtles embody a bigger purpose as well, for if they can champion their inherent right to survive, exist and be - why not other animals? Greed is not good, folks. A quick peek at world headlines confirms this straightaway.
In peace and light--namasté,
Stephanie Tara, Author, Activist, Mom
