best crock pot slow cooker around August 21, 2010 John I have had this Hamilton Beach slow cooker for over 8 months now. I can verify that it is reliable, no problems so far after over 30+ uses. Even talked my relatives into getting one. Unfortunately I paid $49.99 for it at Wal-Mart, now it is $31.88 (better than Amazon's).
Like I said, I have been able to utilize all of it's features. I find the lid clamps to be extremely convenient and intuitive. Also, the food termometer works great! I've used it twice now and it has worked wonderfully!
Dishes that I have cooked so far: babyback ribs (2 different recipes), country ribs/saurkraut/red potatoes, homemade clam chowder, mac & cheese, turkey, pot roast/potatoes/carrots/onions, soups, several chilis, etc. All turned out great. Go to allrecipes and southernfood for 1000s of free recipes. You can pretty much cook anything in it.
crock pot August 19, 2010 laura Campbell (Oregon) I have only used this new crock pot a few times, but so far it has been great. I love the way it seals if I have to transport it and the auto warm has been a life saver.
Hamilton Beach 33967 August 15, 2010 Bill Armstrong (Durango, Co) I like this slow cooker, it performs as advertised and the shipping from Amazon was fast. I have not used the probe yet.
Slow cooker review August 8, 2010 Phoenix (Westminster, Ca. United States) I like what I've mastered of this product, but I think it will be awhile before I've managed to use all the options.
Hamilton Beach Programmable Slow Cooker July 27, 2010 Pat This programmable slow cooker by Hamilton Beach is just as described. It is easy to use and works great! The only thing that would be a plus would be the addition of a cookbook.
